PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OR OBTAINING ANY INFORMATION OR SERVICES FROM THE WEBSITE.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS This agreement sets forth legally binding terms for your use of the website and services offered by Your Career Story. By using the website and services, you agree to be bound by this agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this agreement, you must not use the website and services. We may modify this agreement from time to time, and such modification shall be effective upon posting on the website. You agree to be bound by any modification of these terms and conditions when you use the website and the services offered on the website after such modification is posted on the website; therefore, it is important that you review this agreement regularly.  Your Career Story may, in its sole discretion, refuse to offer the services to any user and change its eligibility criteria at any time. This provision is void where prohibited by law and the right to access the service and website is revoked in such jurisdictions.   By using the website and services, you represent and warrant that you have full right, power and authority to enter into this agreement and to fully perform all of your obligations hereunder. You further represent and warrant that you are not subject to any legal incapacity or contractual restriction that would prevent you from entering into this agreement.

2. NOTIFICATIONS AND NEWSLETTER By providing Your Career Story with your e-mail address, you agree that we may use your e-mail address to send you important notifications and communications about our services, news and special content. If you do not wish to receive these e-mails, you may opt-out of receiving them by sending us your request through our contact information or by using the “unsubscribe” option in the e-mails themselves. This option may prevent you from receiving emails about our services, important news and special content.

3. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Your Career Story specializes in crafting essential job-related documents such as CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles and value proposition letters, as well as short and long biographies. Our goal is to increase our clients’ visibility and attractiveness to employers. We create each document from scratch to accurately showcase the client’s skills, experience and career goals. Our work does not simply comply with industry standards, but highlights what makes each client special, providing them with better employment opportunities and career growth. In addition, our writers know how to capture the client’s essential qualities and personality, so that each document is unique and true to its identity.

4. ORDERS Clients can purchase our services and packages through our website, where each available option is detailed. The online ordering process is simple and secure, requiring clients to provide accurate and complete information to facilitate the delivery of our services. It is the client’s responsibility to verify that the information entered is correct to avoid delays or inconveniences in processing the order. Once the order is confirmed, the client will receive a confirmation email with details of the service and next steps. In case of any questions or need for assistance during the purchase process, our support teams are available to provide immediate assistance.

5. SERVICE PROCESS Once the client has placed an order, an initial call is scheduled to discuss in detail their specific needs and objectives. This initial call, which can last between 30 and 60 minutes, is essential to properly customise the documents to be produced. During this conversation, detailed information is gathered that will guide the creation of the first drafts. Draft documents are delivered within five working days of the initial call, unless a different deadline has been specifically agreed with the client. The client will receive the draft by email in Word and PDF format, and feedback will be sought to ensure that the document meets the client’s expectations.  Once the first draft has been delivered, the client will have a period of one calendar month to request edits to the document. During this period, the client can request unlimited edits to ensure that the final document is perfect and meets all their expectations. The client will receive a document that is easy to edit, allowing quick and targeted changes to be made as required. This holistic approach ensures that the client not only receives a high quality document, but also the tools and knowledge to keep it up to date and relevant.

6. PAYMENTS Payments for contracted services are processed through secure systems such as Stripe and PayPal, which accept credit and debit cards. It is imperative that payments are made in full prior to delivery of documents. These payment platforms guarantee the security of transactions and the protection of the client’s financial information. In the event of problems with payment processing, the client is responsible for resolving any issues directly with the relevant payment platform. Your Career Story is not responsible for service delays caused by external payment processing problems, but is committed to providing support in resolving any payment-related issues. In addition, our payment systems are designed to provide instant transaction confirmations, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted shopping experience.  Once the transaction has been processed, we will send an electronic receipt of the transaction to the customer’s email address. If you find any inconsistency in your billing, please contact us through our contact information or you can make the claim through the customer service of the corresponding payment processor.  If your card is declined, you will receive an error message. No payment will be charged to your card and no order will be processed. There may be a pending transaction on your account until your card issuing bank withdraws the authorization. This usually takes 2 to 5 business days. Your card may be declined for various reasons such as insufficient funds, AVS (Address Verification System) mismatch or you have entered an incorrect security code.  If your payment is declined, you must provide an alternative payment method or provide another card where payment can be charged and processed.  Your payment details will be treated and safeguarded securely and for the sole purpose of processing the payment of orders. Your Career Story reserves the right to contract any available payment processor.

REFUND POLICY

1. FULL REFUND PRIOR TO INITIAL CALL. If a client decides to cancel their order after the purchase has been made but prior to the initial call, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued. The cancellation request must be made in writing by emailing the address in this policy prior to the scheduled date and time of the call. The refund process will be initiated once the cancellation request is received and confirmed.

2. PARTIAL REFUND AFTER THE INITIAL CALL AND BEFORE DELIVERY OF FIRST DRAFTS If the cancellation is made after the initial call but before the first drafts are delivered, the client will receive a partial refund equal to fifty percent (50%) of the amount paid. This refund reflects the work and resources already dedicated to the preparation of the content. The refund request must be sent in writing to the email address in this policy, and the request will be evaluated to process the corresponding refund.

3. NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER DELIVERY OF FIRST DRAFTS Once the first drafts have been delivered, no refunds will be granted, as at this point a substantial part of the contracted service is considered to be completed. However, we offer a one-month unlimited editing period to ensure that the client is completely satisfied with the final product. This period allows the client to request adjustments and improvements so that the document meets their expectations.

4. REFUND REQUEST PROCESS To initiate a refund request, the client must contact Your Career Story by email, providing a detailed explanation of the reason for the request. Please include any relevant information that may assist in the evaluation of the request. We will review the request in accordance with the terms of this policy and notify the client of the decision and next steps.

5. REFUND PROCESSING Once a refund has been approved, the refund process will be carried out through the same payment method originally used by the client. For example, if the payment was made by credit or debit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. Processing time may vary depending on the payment method and the payment provider’s policies. In general, refunds will be completed within ten (10) business days of approval of the refund request. If the client does not receive the refund within this period, the client should contact their bank or payment service provider for further information.

6. EXCEPTIONS AND SPECIAL CASES Your Career Story may consider additional or partial refund requests in exceptional cases, such as significant technical problems, administrative errors, or unforeseen personal circumstances that seriously affect the client. These exceptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and require management approval.
